JOB: Assistant Curator, The Wallace Collection London.
This is a new post intended to strengthen the curatorial team but also to provide a professional start in the career of someone intending to make a career in curatorship. It is envisaged as a training opportunity for someone with little experience of museum work but with a formal academic training, and is designed to encourage an early-stage researcher to engage with museum objects and produce new research. As part of a small curatorial team, working closely with and reporting to the Senior Curator, the post will also have direct involvement in activities connected with the care and presentation of the collections, and in particular the Wallace Collection’s French eighteenth-century art.
Application deadline: 14 July 2014.
